Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving!! We hadn't really given very much thought to Thanksgiving, so we hadn't made any real plans. As the day went on, though, we realized we really missed being back home. We had such a comfortable routine that involved us seeing both my family and Chris' family.  So, late in the day we decided to put together as best we could. I had a late meeting and didn't get home till late, so it was on Chris to make a quick run to the store. We ended up with a mix of Swedish elements in our dinner. We had turkey meatballs, gravy, dressing (not cornbread, there was no time for cornbread baking), mashed potatoes and lingon berry sauce. It was all quite tasty. I think next year we'll plan to have our new European friends over.

  1. Awe i bet the holidays are the hardest being so far away...especially the American holidays that the Swedes don't celebrate! We miss you and count you two as friends we are thankful to have in our lives! xx
