The last whole day Mark and Daddy had here we rented a car and headed up north an hour to Markaryd. There is a drive through moose park there. It was fantastic!
The place and the weather reminded me of the cricket in the fall. We stopped at the gift shop to buy our tickets in. Then we were off. None of the four of us had seen moose before, so we had high hopes.
The cow above was our first sighting. After her we saw a group with cows and bulls. There was even a bull still shedding it's velvet.
They don't allow you to get out of your car, but you can bring along carrots and apples and feed them. They are so gentle, and so HUGE!
Their noses stick way out in front of their mouths.
We all had a chance to feed them.
But when you were out of food, they weren't convinced. So in the car they would come.
We pet them too!
It's crazy how big they are, how big their heads and body are, and how skinny their legs and frames are.
I was super giggly like a kid on Christmas morning. All my colleagues say they've driven by that sign a bunch and never stopped. They don't know how much fun they are missing!! On the way home we stopped at Max, which is a Swedish burger chain, for some late lunch.
