Australia!

When we left for Australia, it looked like this

and when we landed, it looked like this

Along the way we were in Paris and China

It took us 46 hours total travel from our house to the Sydney airport, and it was all worth the trip when we rounded the corner and saw our besties waiting for us! We got to Sydney in the morning, so we had plenty of time for catching up and grabbing some quick Sydney sites. In less than 2 minutes walking from Toby and Christine's apartment you can find yourself under the Harbour Bridge and looking across at the iconic Sydney Opera House, designed by a Dane, by the way. We grabbed some burgers and picnicked under the bridge.

Our view was amazing! The best part was that after over a year, we were finally able to be back with our friends. We headed into the CBD (central business district) for our first look at the big city.

This tree was in the Queen Victoria Building, which is a renovated that is amazing. The tree is made from Swarovski crystals. It was a bit odd to be in 90 degree weather a few days before Christmas.

From the CBD we walked down to Darling Harbour,

and had our first ferry ride!

Christine is a way more efficient blogger than am I, so I suggest checking out her blog over the next few weeks for faster updates, A Tennessee Girl in Oz
